Seminar:
Economic Recovery Summit, May 29, 2009
O’Sullivan Creel, LLP, Workforce Development Board of Okaloosa and Walton Counties, and the Walton County Chamber of Commerce, presented an Economic Recovery Summit to more than 120 local business people. We took the opportunity to educate business owners on significant human resource and tax provisions made during the most recent economic stimulus package. We also revealed tips and tools to help businesses better manage their business during these tough economic times, and shared insight into the role the Workforce Development Board is playing locally with the new stimulus package. In addition, Senator Don Gaetz gave businesses an update from the recent legislative session and Rick Harper with the HAAS Center at the University of West Florida presented a regional economic update.
